Sophia Vari was born in Greece in 1940.
She studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris.
Vari is well known as a painter and sculptor; her work has been internationally exhibited in Paris, Athens, Florence, Basen Basen, Caracas, New York and Miami. Her paintings and sculptures have been extensively exhibited in various shows at Gary Nader Art Centre, Wynwood Arts District, Miami, FL.
Sophia Vari’s work is included in several collections worldwide, including the Benaki Museum and the Alexandros Soutzos Museum in Greece, Utsukushi-ga-hara Open Air Museum in Japan, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Portugal, the Beeldenaanzen Museum in the Netherlands, the Ulrich Museum of Art in Kansas, in addition to the Contemporary Art Museum in Caracas, the Botero Museum in Bogotá and the Museum of Antioquia in Medellin, Gary Nader Collection, Miami, FL.
Sophia Vari lives and works in Paris and Pietrasanta, Italy.
