Model of the Latin American Art Museum

Gary Nader Art Centre presents the MODEL and renderings of the proposed Latin American Art Museum (LAAM) designed by well-known Mexican architect Fernando Romero designer of the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City. The 90,000 sq. ft. art museum is scheduled to open sometime in 2016.

A group exhibition including important paintings, sculptures, drawings and other media from the museum's permanent collection accompanied the debut of the LAAM MODEL and architectural plan and the launch of Gary Nader gallery Wynwood as a temporary space for the LAAM.

The LAAM will showcase the largest and most comprehensive Latin American collection with over 150 of the most important modern and contemporary artists from this region. The museum aspires to be the most important venue in North America to showcase acclaimed Latin American Art and will be fully dedicated to foster knowledge by a continuous process of appreciation and reinterpretation of Modern and Contemporary art from Latin American and its diaspora.
