Miami, FL – December 6, 2024

Nader Sculpture Park has officially opened in the Miami Design District during Miami Art Week 2024, introducing a new open-air setting for modern and contemporary sculpture. Founded by Gary Nader, the park brings together more than 50 monumental works in a space shaped by art, nature, and the city around it.

The opening welcomed art enthusiasts, collectors, and visitors from around the world during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach. For Miami, it marks a new place to encounter major works of sculpture outdoors.

Modern and Contemporary Masters in the Open Air

The collection brings together works by Fernando Botero, Richard Hudson, Frank Stella, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Olafur Eliasson, Jeff Koons, and Yayoi Kusama, among other internationally recognized artists. Their sculptures invite visitors to walk around the works and consider how scale, material, and light change the experience of looking.

Other Masters represented in the opening collection include Rufino Tamayo, Alexander Calder, Bernar Venet, Rachel Valdés, Jesús Rafael Soto, Agustín Cárdenas, Sophia Vari, Oswaldo Vigas, and Robert Indiana. Set among trees and landscaping, the works offer different ways to experience volume, color, and form beyond the gallery.

Gary Nader’s Vision for Nader Sculpture Park

For founder Gary Nader, the park is part of a broader commitment to making art central to Miami’s cultural life. At the opening, he described the purpose behind the project:

“The Nader Sculpture Park represents more than an exhibition of world-class art—it’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and cultural dialogue. Our goal is to provide a transformative experience that inspires visitors, elevates Miami’s reputation as a cultural hub, and highlights the city’s ongoing evolution as a global leader in the arts.”

Design by Bea Pernia

The park’s design was entrusted to Bea Pernia, founder of BEA Interiors Design. Since establishing her studio in the Miami Design District in 2012, Pernia has developed an approach that combines organic materials with sculptural forms. At the park, her work extends from the layout to furniture from her Atus Collection, creating places to pause within the open-air exhibition.

A Setting for Art and Cultural Gatherings

Conceived as a place for both sculpture and cultural exchange, Nader Sculpture Park was designed to accommodate cultural programs, fashion shows, live concerts, and private gatherings. These activities extend Gary Nader’s vision of a space where art becomes part of how people meet and experience the city.
