Miami, FL – May 1, 2025

Visual Rhythms: A Global Tapestry of Contemporary and Modern Art opened at Gary Nader Art Centre on April 30, 2025. On view through June 30, 2025, the exhibition brought together artists from different generations and geographies to explore how modern and contemporary art speak to one another.

The selection moved from kinetic abstraction to urban art, tracing connections through color, movement, material, and the images of everyday life. It also marked a further step in the gallery’s contemporary program, with a particular interest in connecting with a new generation of collectors and visitors.

Modern Masters and Contemporary Voices

Works by Wifredo Lam and Carlos Cruz-Diez appeared alongside those of Adam Pendleton, Marina Perez Simão, and Os Gêmeos. Across the exhibition, historical approaches to abstraction and representation entered into conversation with personal narrative, political critique, and new ways of working with the image.

The title Visual Rhythms offered a way to read those encounters: through recurring forms and gestures, shifts in scale, and the relationships that emerge when works from different periods share a space. Painting, sculpture, and other artistic disciplines gave visitors several points of entry into the exhibition.

A New Generation at Gary Nader Art Centre

The exhibition also involved a younger generation of the Nader team. Milla Nader contributed to curatorial research, content creation, and public engagement, bringing her perspective to how the gallery connects with new audiences.

“Being part of this exhibition has shown me how art is a language that speaks to all generations. It’s exciting to help shape how our gallery connects with younger audiences who see themselves reflected in this work,” shared Milla Nader.

Noah Nader reflected on the experience:

“Working with these incredible artists has taught me how diverse the world of art really is. I have learned that every piece, whether modern or historic, holds a story that deserves to be heard.”
